Handmade loincloths in an authentic Edo style.
These loincloths are called ROKUSHAKU, meaning 6 shakus.
Each shaku measures 30.3 cm and a 6 shaku loincloth is the usual size.
However these loincloths were made in a 9 shaku length making it easier to use.

The exquisite material was originally created for use as a "TENUGUI", a cloth traditionally used to wrap gifts and other things.
These beautiful pieces of material have a variety of uses such as a handkerchief or a towel.
You can even create your own original accessories using these artistic material.
Use your imagination and add some Japanese flavor to your home.

As these materials are created and individually dyed by Japanese artisans, each product is unique and colors may fade or run during wash.
